
FAQs The First Day Skaters and parents should arrive at least 15 minutes prior to their scheduled class time to give enough time to get skates on and pick up your name badge. Name badges will be color coded to match the instructor assigned color. Once skaters are ready to go on the ice, they may line up with their instructor for attendance. Equipment We provide both hockey and figure skates to Learn TO Skate Participants free of charge to use during class! You can bring your own skates from home, but we do require a single blade skate for all skaters. Clothing Comfortable, flexible, and warm clothing including hats and gloves/mittens are recommneded for all skaters. Beginner skaters should wear loose fitting pants while learning how to safely fall and stand back up. Practice Ice and Pass All skaters receive 25 minute practice either prior to or after their Class. Five Free Public Skating Passes are also given out on the first week of class to encourage skaters to practice their skills. Class Times All skaters will receive 25 minutes of lesson. Beginner Classes will start off the ice on the first day and will have their lesson on the ice first. High Classes will start on the ice in the practice zone. The higher classes will take their class during the second half of the session.
